CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiovascular Research Laboratories, Electrocardiography/Stress Laboratories, Or Echocardiography Departments
Laurel’s School of Healthcare now offers a 16-month program in Cardiovascular Technology. Students in this program are trained in the performance of non-invasive testing such as EKG (ECG) and Cardiac Sonography/Echo procedures which provide valuable recorded data utilized in cardiac medical evaluation.
Cardiovascular Technicians perform diagnostic, administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by the physician.
